POSITION SUMMARY

The Kits Camp Supervisor ("Supervisor") is responsible for supervising children, ages 4-5, and providing a safe environment for all program participants within a specific age group. The Supervisor is required to plan and participate in daily activities as well as special events for the Kits Camp Program. The position is responsible for assisting the Coordinator, Recreation Programing, in the administrative duties related to camp registration, drop off and pick up procedures, and supervising camp counselors under their leadership. The Supervisor will work in a variety of environments, both outdoors and indoors, for extended periods of time.

Work is performed during regularly scheduled hours, and will involve additional hours, as needed. The position is non-exempt under the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act.

SELECTION GUIDELINES

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the United States and, upon commencement of employment, will be subject to employment eligibility verification. In addition, the successful candidate will be subject to a background investigation, a pre-employment physical, drug and alcohol test, and certification of the candidate’s compliance with the Township’s Nepotism Policy.

Working hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., with occasional evenings for special events.
Approximately 18 hours per week.
