Position: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable EMT to join our team full-time. If you have a passion for providing safe and comfortable transportation services for individuals with medical conditions or mobility issues, we encourage you to apply.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care and Transport:
    • Provides safe and efficient transport of patients while constantly monitoring their condition.
    • Performs patient assessments and provides basic life support as needed.
    • Administers basic first aid, and records patient vital signs, oxygen levels, and other pertinent medical data.
    • Ensures the careful handling of patients when moving them to the transport vehicle.
    • Executes an orderly transfer of patients to their destination.
  • Medical Support:
    • Provides appropriate continuing care within the limits of license and certification.
    • Utilizes medical equipment such as defibrillators, oxygen tanks, and stretchers proficiently.
    • Adheres to hospital protocols and procedures during patient transfers.
  • Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
    • Report needed equipment and vehicle repairs to the appropriate supervisor.
    • Cleans and restocks basic supplies upon arrival at destination and places the unit back in service promptly.
  • Customer Service:
    • Maintains a high level of customer service and professionalism at all times.
    • Communicates effectively with patients, their families, and medical personnel.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Adapts and accepts additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
  • Valid State of Georgia EMT Certificate.
  • Valid State of Georgia Driver’s License.
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for insurance purposes.
  • Current CPR/Healthcare Provider Certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an EMT, preferably in an emergency room (ER) or ambulance service.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proficient in performing patient assessments and providing basic life support techniques.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and hospital protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads when necessary.
  • Must live within 20 miles of Johns Creek, Georgia
