Gecko Hospitality is honored to partner with a distinguished and private club in Palm Bay, FL, in their search for an Executive Chef. This esteemed establishment is a cornerstone of luxury, dedicated to delivering exceptional service, relaxation, and exclusive fellowship to its members, their families, and guests. The club boasts a rich array of amenities including championship golf courses, a comprehensive racquets complex, an inviting swimming pool with a poolside bar, and extensive food service facilities. Role Summary:

The Executive Chef will play a crucial role in maintaining and elevating the club's culinary reputation. This position demands a leader with a visionary approach to the food and beverage operations, someone who can inspire, manage, and develop a diverse culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess an intricate blend of creativity, strategic planning, and business acumen to enhance the dining experience for all members and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and train the culinary team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Director and other management team members to create cohesive and high-quality dining experiences.
  • Engage actively in recruitment and development of the kitchen staff to achieve positive membership satisfaction outcomes.
  • Ensure the maintenance of high standards in food preparation, presentation, and kitchen sanitation.
  • Develop innovative menus and food offerings, keeping up with culinary trends and member preferences.
  • Oversee financial management of the kitchen operations, including budgeting, inventory control, and cost management.
  • Maintain strong vendor relationships and explore new opportunities to ensure the best quality and value.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef in a luxury or large-scale operation, with a successful track record in both à la carte and banquet services.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with a passion for teaching, training, and developing a culinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple dining venues and events simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and cost control.
  • Advanced computer skills, with experience in POS software preferred.
  • A culinary arts degree from an accredited institution and relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Executive Chef, Certification in food safety) are preferred.
