Registered Nurse L&D / Gallup, NM

Local/Travel position

Pay rate: $65-68/hour + Stipends for travelers

Work Schedule: Day/Night shifts available

Facility: IHS hospital

Contract Length: 6 months; with the option to extend

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the health of mothers and babies during labor and delivery
  • Assist with the birthing process, including coaching mothers through labor
  • Administer medications and pain relief as needed
  • Perform assessments on mothers and newborns post-delivery
  • Educate new mothers on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Job requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing
  • 2 years of experience as an RN
  • 1 year of experience in a Labor and Delivery unit
  • Unrestricted RN license
  • Active BLS, ACLS, NRP
  • Fetal monitoring certification
