We are seeking a highly experienced and talented CNC Machinist for Lathe OR Mill
The CNC Machinist Lathe:
* Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, editing, and operating a CNC Lathe OR CNC Mill.
* Produce first-run, prototype, and production parts
* Read and understand CNC programs, layouts, and blueprints
* Inspect machined parts
* Maintain quality and safety standards
* Maintain equipment and supplies
* Complete daily production/quality logs
Skills/Qualifications
The right candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude as well as strong attention to detail. They will have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and will also be able to work well with a wide range of people and demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules.
Specific qualifications for the CNC Machinist position include:
* Minimum 7 years experience as a CNC Machinist
* Ability to setup and operate vertical machining centers and turning centers
* Ability to select and setup proper cutting tools as specified in CNC programs
* Ability to read blueprints and perform advanced shop math
* Ability to meet +/-.0005” tolerances
* Ability to read and manually edit G-Code programs
* Ability to use inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) as needed
* Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
* Strong verbal communication skills
* Ability to lift 50 lbs
