As a Permit Specialist, you will work remotely to assist carriers in securing necessary permits for oversize and overweight loads. Your role involves gathering truck information, submitting permit requests, and ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Carrier Interaction:
      • Communicate with carriers to collect essential truck information required for permit applications.
      • Maintain accurate records of carrier details, including vehicle specifications, load dimensions, and contact information.
    • Permit Processing:
      • Review permit requests submitted by carriers.
      • Input permit applications into state-specific Department of Transportation (DOT) websites.
      • Ensure timely submission of permit applications to meet travel schedules.
      • Monitor permit status and follow up as needed.
    • Compliance and Documentation:
      • Stay informed about state-specific regulations related to oversize and overweight permits.
      • Verify that permit applications adhere to legal requirements.
      • Provide carriers with necessary permits and route maps upon approval.
      • Maintain organized records of permits issued and expiration dates.
    • Customer Service:
