We are a fast-growing Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business focused on educating and training the government workforce of the future. We are looking for a self-starting, energetic, detail-oriented person to join our expanding team in Manassas, Virginia. This entry level position works closely with all departments to effectively support the business development, capture management, and proposal development processes.

Proposal Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Assists department by attending and documenting briefings, working with potential subcontractors and teaming partners, analyzing forecasts, and keeping track of major competitor activities.
  • Performs preliminary analysis of assigned solicitations for questions and answers.
  • Works with current clients and accounts by promptly answering email requests and inquires.
  • Ensure that all bids are submitted on time
  • Attend daily bid and proposal meetings.
  • Assists in briefing Senior Leadership weekly on bid status and wins/losses.
  • Work with BD Manager or directly with CEO or Senior Leadership on all bid pricing.
  • Note opportunities for company growth (company certifications, new courses, new company capabilities etc.).
  • Provide inputs to the department standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Properly store and protect company proposal sensitive information and competitive advantages.
  • Oversee the correct entry of proposal and bid results information into the company Salesforce database.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent relational skills including interpersonal, communication and team-building skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to quickly synthesize large quantities of information.
  • Eye for detail and skills in copy-editing, proofreading, grammar, style, spelling, and punctuation – document formatting.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite (especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Expected to be comfortable with a client-facing role with phone calls and emails a normal part of everyday tasks.
  • Comfortable with prioritizing tasks given to them by their manager, data entry, numbers, researching, writing persuasive, complex documents, reading complex, legal-heavy, documents and quickly interpreting information.
  • Capable of juggling multiple tasks and has excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, respectfully, and professionally with all internal and external stakeholders and team members.
