Main job objective - Mission:

Within the scope of the general management principles of BekaertDeslee USA Inc., the Weaving Supervisor is responsible for:

- Maintaining efficient operation of looms and jacquard heads through trouble shooting and preventive maintenance. Also performing style changes and starting of new warps.

The focus is on technical expertise/individual contribution.

- This position is based in Winston-Salem, NC (USA).

BekaertDeslee USA Inc. is BekaertDeslee’s production and distribution center for the USA and Canada. BekaertDeslee USA employs about 250 persons and manufactures and sells mattress ticking to the abovementioned markets from its 270,000 sq. ft. plant and 87,000 sq. ft. warehouses. The plant consists of two main buildings with a preparation department for the production of weaving beams, a weave room with 60 jacquard looms, a knitting department with 69 circular knitting machines, a finishing department with 2 tenter frames and a hot-melt machine, and other necessary equipment and a warehouse.

Essential Functions and Key Result Areas:

1. Repair machines as needed to prevent off quality and low efficiency

2. Perform style changes

3. Pull over and start up new warp tie ins

4. Perform preventive maintenance as required

5. Help weaver start looms and monitor off quality occurrences

6. Apply and use appropriate BMS codes

Educational Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands Summary:

· Climbing. Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

· Balancing. Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling and walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.
