We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Chicago Heights, IL. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will contribute to the design and production of custom retail displays for major brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design custom retail displays primarily using SolidWorks.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Collaborate with other design engineers to develop creative and functional designs.
- Design metal and wood fixtures for displays, focusing on sheet metal, metal enclosures, and welding fixtures.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed engineering designs and drawings.
- Support the engineering team with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience as a design engineer in a manufacturing company.
- Proven experience designing sheet metal, metal enclosures, or welding fixtures.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
Preferred:
- Experience working in the POP display, furniture, or hospitality design manufacturing sectors.
- Experience designing POP (Point of Purchase) displays from scratch.
- Familiarity with using PDM (Product Data Management) software.
- Experience designing products using both metal and wood.
