Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a dependable Tool Crib person that can complete various tasks for our Maintenance department.  The responsibilities for performing Tool Crib daily functions, issuing/ receiving tools and support materials required for manufacturing processes.

Essential Job Functions

- Maintaining inventory system of all outgoing and incoming items, including tools and equipment

- Maintains inventory of chemicals purchased and prepares chemical manifest for hazardous

   material shipped out.

- Inspects and measures tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer

   and reports damage or wear to supervisors.

- Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed

- Receives and distributes various supplies, parts, tools, and materials to departments

-  Maintains PPE inventory and distributes as needed various safety materials (ear plugs, earmuffs,

    safety glasses, respirators, and filters

- Maintains log for items distributed, including employee and date distributed.

- Administrates the Calibration Program

 

Candidate must have excellent record keeping, organization and communication skills. Ability to operate forklift.  Work independently in a fast-paced environment.

 

Experience

Prefer prior experience working in a tool crib.
