We're looking for a skilled and motivated A Tech to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and repairing our fleet.

Job Description:

As an A Tech at American Dream Vacations of Austin, you will be responsible for the advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of our fleet of RVs, including Class A, Class C, and trailers. This role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to maintaining vehicles in peak condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced diagnostics and troubleshooting of RV mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance on RV engines, brakes, transmissions, air conditioning, and heating systems.
• Repair and replace parts such as tires, batteries, and suspension components as needed.
• Ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Work with service managers and make-ready techs to ensure vehicles are ready for rental, major events, and special requests.
• Keep detailed records of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and maintenance logs.
• Support the onboarding of 50 vehicles onto Camp Host by performing inspections and ensuring readiness.
• Assist with training make-ready techs and logistics drivers in proper vehicle inspection and repair techniques.
• Collaborate with the service team to ensure the fleet is ready for key events like Formula One, holidays, and other scheduled rentals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in compliance with all workplace safety regulations.
• Communicate clearly with the service manager and rental agents to ensure seamless vehicle availability.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in RV or automotive mechanical repair.
• Certifications: ASE certifications in relevant areas (preferred but not required).
• Skills: Strong diagnostic, electrical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
• Technology: Familiarity with cloud-based platforms such as Notion, Miro, Slack, and ADV RMP for documentation and communication.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy parts, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment, training and guiding other technicians when necessary.
• Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, during peak seasons and major events.
