Description:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Construction Technician to support the construction, maintenance, and renovation of residential and commercial properties, with a focus on new developments in Indian River, Michigan. If you have a broad range of construction skills and a proactive approach, this role is for you. Housing accommodations are available, with adjustments to pay if needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with construction, maintenance, and renovation tasks for residential and commercial properties.
  • Perform various construction tasks including framing, roofing, drywall installation, painting, and general labor.
  • Support site preparation, material handling, and tool management to ensure efficient project operations.
  • Conduct maintenance and repair work such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and contractors to ensure efficient completion of tasks to high standards.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized work site.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
  • Adapt to varying job duties based on project needs and site conditions.
  • Safely operate construction equipment and tools.
  • Assist with paperwork, material orders, and progress reports as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of construction experience with a diverse skill set across various trades.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to relocate to Indian River, Michigan, if necessary.
  • Experience with both residential and commercial projects is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience and qualifications.
  • Housing accommodations available with corresponding adjustments to base compensation.
