Director of Surgical Services Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Surgery to lead their surgical team and drive the future of surgical care.

Job Summary:

The Director of Surgery will oversee all surgical services, ensuring the highest patient care and operational efficiency standards. This leadership role involves strategic planning, quality improvement, staff management, and collaboration with other departments to enhance the overall performance of our surgical unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for advancing surgical practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the surgical department, including surgeons, nurses, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve surgical services and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of surgical staff.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments to optimize resource utilization and patient care.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR)
    • Preferred: Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in surgery, with at least three years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and surgical standards.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and quality improvement.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning.
