This is a 2nd or 3rd shift position. 

 

Job Description:

As a Diesel Truck Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on our fleet of diesel trucks. Your expertise will help ensure that our vehicles are safe, reliable, and in optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance on diesel trucks, including oil changes, brake adjustments, and tire rotations.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address potential issues.

Perform engine overhauls and other complex repairs.

Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot problems.

Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to achieve optimal results.

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with drivers and other personnel.

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; vocational training or technical certification in diesel mechanics is preferred.

Proven experience as a diesel truck mechanic.

Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components.

Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.

Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.

Capability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and lying down.

Willingness to work in different environments, such as outdoors or in a garage.
