Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Beverage Manager that has 2-3 years of experience working in a high-volume environment of a new restaurant opening in Essex County, NJ. The candidate must be comfortable with mixology, creating new drinks and teaching following up with the bar team. Additional experience in great wines, not a sommelier level, however, must be comfortable with presenting wine and discussing its flavor profiles and be able to pair it with entree items. Finally, this individual must be experienced in dealing with the bar vendors and helping to create long-term relationships with them. Most importantly, this individual must be able to function as part of a team. We are looking at completing the interview process as soon as the right person appears  You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the restaurant sales team. Quarterly bonus is available and will help drive the total income package

Responsibilities:

• Supervise team of restaurant workers including the bar, service and banquet team
• Adjust daily schedule for shift personnel to ensure optimal efficiency
• Train and evaluate employees
• Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
• Resolve escalated customer complaints

• Previous experience in restaurant and customer service, including banquet and special event sales
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
