Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Summary: As a Warehouse Distribution Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products within a warehouse environment. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all processes are executed accurately and in a timely manner to meet customer demands.

Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect goods for damage or discrepancies. Record any issues and communicate them to the appropriate department.

  2. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software. Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to reconcile discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy.

  3. Storage and Organization: Properly store products in designated locations within the warehouse. Implement and maintain efficient warehouse layout and organization strategies to optimize space utilization and facilitate easy access to goods.

  4. Picking and Packing: Fulfill customer orders by accurately picking items from inventory according to order specifications. Pack orders securely and prepare them for shipment, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.

  5. Shipping and Distribution: Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and logistics partners. Generate shipping labels, arrange transportation, and ensure timely delivery of orders to customers. Track shipments and address any issues or delays that may arise during transit.

  6. Quality Control: Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound shipments to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer expectations. Document any quality issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve them promptly.

  7. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations, including but not limited to OSHA and DOT regulations.

  8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the warehouse. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and streamline operations.
