JSM Law, PLLC seeks a talented litigation associate with 2-4 years of experience to join our growing legal team.

About Us: JSM Law, PLLC is a small boutique law firm that provides comprehensive legal services and outstanding client advocacy. Our firm is dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient, and strategic legal solutions and personalized representation to a diverse range of clients across a wide array of practice areas, including insurance defense, law enforcement/civil rights defense, commercial litigation, small business representation, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing Investigations.
  • Managing cases independently.
  • Reporting to insurance carriers and other clients.
  • Conducting extensive document review.
  • Drafting litigation papers. 
  • Conducting depositions.
  • Preparing and arguing motions.
  • Handling complex discovery and ESI.
  • Preparing cases for trial. 
  • Preparing cases for mediation.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
  • 2-4 years of experience in litigation with emphasis on insurance litigation.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative attitude and willingness to learn from experienced attorneys.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
  • Familiarity with Kentucky Court System is a plus.

All candidates should have a strong academic background and possess excellent research, writing, analytical and communications skills.
