Job Description:
Fahan Organization is seeking a dedicated ESL (English as a Second Language) Instructor to join our team in Minneapolis, MN. This position involves working closely with blind adults to facilitate their language learning and development.
Responsibilities:
•
Plan and deliver effective ESL lessons tailored to the needs of blind adult learners.
•
Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters engagement and participation.
•
Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
•
Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to address the specific needs of blind adult learners.
•
Provide regular feedback to students to support their language learning journey.
•
Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and assessments.
Requirements:
•
Valid teaching license in Minnesota.
•
TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) certification.
•
Bachelor's degree in Education, ESL, Special Education, or related field.
•
Experience working with blind or visually impaired individuals is preferred but not required.
•
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•
Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching.
