Job description

We are looking for two experienced CDL A flatbed truck drivers to serve our transportation department in a safe and timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Transport materials to and from job sites.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
  • Document and log work and rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations.

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a flatbed OTR driver.
  • Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software.
  • Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
  • Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.
  • Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

Requirements

  • Valid CDL A.
  • No recent moving or driving violations.
  • Clean driving record and clean clearinghouse record/no violations.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience OTR and flatbed/load securement experience.
  • Ability to comply with FMCSA and DOT laws and regulations.
  • Ability to comply with ELD.
  • Ability to properly operate a 13-speed manual as well as downshift properly.
  • 3-weeks out and 3 days home.
