Job DescriptionJob Description

The Construction Foreperson is responsible for providing team leadership and setting the standard for workmanship and work ethic. The Foreperson will build their team to successfully complete assigned construction projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Laying out work for the weeks ahead to ensure materials and equipment are ready for the project schedule
  • Reading blueprints, plans, and surveys
  • Developing grades and making necessary adjustments if changes occur
  • Generating daily work sheets electronically with cost codes and recording daily quantities
  • Ensuring safety compliance on all activities
  • Communicating with superintendents and coworkers to assist in project coordination
  • Delegating tasks to team members and holding them accountable


Qualifications Required:

  • Experienced in Heavy Highway, Infrastructure, Site work, Utilities, Excavation, Grading, Road Reconstruction, and Concrete Work.
  • Familiarity with computers – all reporting is done electronically
  • Willingness to work additional hours, if necessary, to complete projects on time and on budget
  • Ability to professionally represent the company in all endeavors
  • Ability to train and mentor others to perform at acceptable levels
