Established Equipment Manufacturer is looking for a Laser operator who is experienced with CNC lasers. This position is a second shift opportunity. It is expected that an individual in this position has ability to work with minimal supervision. The right person will need to be able to evaluate cutting conditions while continually working to reduce downtime and increasing output.

Typical Duties:

This job entails understanding the loading of programs to the software, maintaining your inventory, and basic operations that pertain to CNC lasers. You will also be required to inspect your work and make any needed adjustments to the machine. This person will be required to meet all established production schedules as determined by management. This individual must be able to work with other production personnel on corrective action/problem solving as required.

Experience and Skills Must Include:

· The ability to use calipers to identify metal thicknesses

· Can differentiate different series of metals

· Have a strong knowledge of CNC laser as well as routine maintenance

· Capable of working in a fast paced sheet metal environment

· Be dependable

· Strong desire to succeed

· Forklift experience with certs is a must

· Skillful in problem solving

Qualifications:

This person must have a minimum of two years’ experience working as a laser operator. Experienced in all gauges of sheet metal and can demonstrate their ability to perform to our expectations.

Must be willing to work second shift (weeknights)
