Millwright Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, qualified individual to join our manufacturing company as a Millwright. As part of our team, you assemble, install, maintain, and disassemble vital machinery. You perform comprehensive diagnostics on all machinery, to ensure maximum and safe functionality. In the case of malfunction or wear, you perform mechanical repairs as possible, escalating major non-functionality issues to the appropriate supervisor. You accurately log the use, state of repair, and replacement of all equipment.

Millwright Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assemble and install critical manufacturing machinery, ensuring accurate assemblage to minimize wear and strain on components.
  • Disassembly and reassembly of machine components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and accurately log all maintenance.
  • Disassemble machinery and transport it to the appropriate storage location.
  • Perform diagnostic tests on functioning machinery to ensure safe and efficient functionality.

Millwright Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Trade school diploma or vocational certification (preferred)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be 21.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Competitive per diem while working outside our plant.
  • Pay and benefits depending on experience.
