Mechanic/Millwright Maintenance Technician

Delta Biofuel is seeking a strong technical thinker and experienced facility maintenance technician to take a role as Millwright Maintenance Technician for its ground-breaking bagasse pelletizing facility in Jeanerette, Louisiana. Construction has begun and Delta is seeking immediate involvement of an ideal candidate who can take part in the establishment of policy and procedures for the plant. In addition to being a strong technical thinker, the candidate should be able to show a history of working in a team, encouraging community, and collaborating with others. Significant experience is also required regarding ability to establish safe maintenance practices and follow safety guidelines and create a healthy work environment for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the facilities process equipment maintenance
• Maintain clean and safe workplace
• Work on a rotating 12-hr shift schedule while remaining focused and punctual (Dupont Schedule)
• Analyze feedstock, washing, drying, and pelletizing equipment performance to establish areas for improvements
• Be flexible and attentive to potentially daily changes in maintenance plans
• Ensure adherence to rules, procedures, and workplace policies
• Learn and execute maintenance procedures and plans to effectively use available resources
• Manage, inspect, and report on specific aspects of the operating facilities systems and equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Recommended but not required associates or technical certification in millwright trade or relevant field
• 2+ years of experience in continuous process maintenance
• Experience in material handling continuous maintenance requirements
• Experience in use of a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
• Experience in pelletizer maintenance is a distinct differentiator
• Strong communication, safety and interpersonal skills
