Job Summary:

We are looking for a CNC Press Brake Operator to join our team. You must have prior knowledge/experience in set-up and forming procedures for safe, efficient production of sheet metal parts. You must know how to read and interpret shop fabrication drawings to determine the correct measurements for a given part and operate the press brake to ensure dimensional tolerances are held. You should have previous experience with press brake machine operation in sheet metal manufacturing environment. Our ideal candidate has several years of experience working with CNC press brake equipment and is capable of setting their tooling as needed for operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up tooling and operate CNC Machines for production while observing safety policies.
  • Adjust programs as needed to maintain tolerances and specifications.
  • Verifies conformance of work pieces to specifications before and after processing.
  • Record completed part counts per company policies.
  • Perform daily maintenance tasks including startup and shutdown procedures on equipment.
  • Ensure production schedule follows through as directed by Supervisor.
  • Assist in other manufacturing activities and tasks as directed.
  • Detect and report defective materials and unsafe conditions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • CNC press brake operations experience or substantial, related technical training.
    • Amada preferred but not necessary.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
  • Ability to select appropriate press brake tooling per part.
  • Working knowledge of sheet metal materials and gauges (primarily steel & aluminum)
  • Working knowledge of common sheet metal terms (bend deductions, inside radius, and tonnage requirements)
  • Ability to use inspection instruments such as calipers and gauges to maintain tolerances.
  • Capable of performing basic shop calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
  • Able to lift 40lbs without assistance.
  • Squat/kneel, bend/stop, twist/turn, grasp and reach overhead and outward frequently.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Mechanically inclined and handy in using shop tools that aid in other areas of production as needed.

Pay:

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday – Thursday, 6AM to 4PM
  • 10-hour shifts with 30 minutes paid lunch
