Receiving Supervisor
Responsibilities:
· Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate shipping paperwork.
· Using a warehouse management system prepare accurate bills of lading for outbound freight.
· Schedule or monitor air or surface pickup, delivery, or distribution of products.
· Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products or materials.
· Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pick-up of goods.
· Processes necessary invoices to appropriate office for payment.
· Assist and evaluate needs with shipping points, services, weights and freight permits, and other information needed.
· Identify errors on packing lists and invoices and correct them.
· Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets, or equipment and order testing, maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
· Monitor shipping orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents.
· Ensure team is assembling packaging materials and package merchandise per instructions, in preparation for shipment.
· Issue shipping instructions and provide routing information to ensure that delivery times and locations are coordinated.
· Interview, select, and train warehouse and supervisory personnel.
· Arranges for movement of freight to consignee/agent and updates the system with information.
· Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
Requirements:
MUST have C2C experience.
2 years of experience in supervision/management.
Achieve positive results, balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale.
Quality Management experience.
Ensure that drivers depart with appropriate shipping paperwork.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Assist and evaluate needs with shipping points, services, weights and freight permits, and other information needed.
Processes necessary invoices to appropriate office for payment.
Identify errors on packing lists and invoices and correct them.
Monitor shipping orders and shipping quantities match picking documents through careful audit of said documents.
Assist in resolving any discrepancies.
Arranges for movement of freight to consignee/agent and updates the system with information.
Forklift License.
