Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping operations efficiently, ensuring timely delivery of orders, and maintaining accurate records of all shipments. The Shipping and Receiving Receptionist will work closely with various departments to coordinate daily order operations, manage inventory, and facilitate communication with drivers and sales representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate shipping manifests and ensure all orders are accurately documented.
  • Coordinate the shipment of all orders in the system, including Direct Store Delivery (DSD) orders.
  • Execute daily order operations, ensuring orders are processed, packed, and shipped promptly.
  • Scan shipping manifests and maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments.
  • Receive supplies and raw materials into the system, verifying quantities and updating inventory records.
  • Conduct counts and label shipments accurately to facilitate easy identification.
  • Coordinate with drivers for daily pick-up schedules and provide necessary instructions.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Sales Representative, providing updates on orders and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Track orders and conduct regular item check-ups to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Facilitate Monday transfers to ensure seamless movement of inventory between locations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
  • Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
  • Experience in coordinating with drivers and external stakeholders is a plus.
