DRIVER - H A U L E R

FULL TIME: TUESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY 6:00AM - 2:30PM

 

As a driver/hauler you are responsible for driving from center to center to retrieve items that need to be hauled to the dump. You will also be responsible for, but not limited to, the following;

 

· Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures

· Haul items that are scheduled by 3rd party clients that need disposal, such as sofa’s, tires, refrigerator’s, pallets, and or other household and commercial items that will be disposed of at the dump by the diver/hauler

· Inspect and maintain vehicle supplies and equipment, such as oil, water, tires, lights, brakes and ensure that vehicle is in a safe working condition

· Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicle

· Provide invoices and receipts on a timely manner

· Load and unload cargo in a safe manner

· Maintain records, such as vehicle logs, record of cargo, photos of cargo, in accordance with regulations

· Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions

· Report delays, accidents, or other traffic and transportation situations using telephone or two-way radio

· The Driver/Hauler is required to pick up heavy items with the support handcarts, lift gates, and or help of another employee

· The driver/hauler must use required safety gear and methods as per their training of their supervisor. It is your responsibility to follow all safety training and follow the training to safely complete your job each day

· The maximum weight to lift without equipment or assistance from a co-worker is 50 lbs.

 

Qualifications:

1. Valid driver's license.

2. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

3. Previous experience working in the hauling industry is preferred

4. Ability to communicate effectively with management

5. Must speak, read, and write in English. Bilingual preferred but not required.

6. Be accountable and detail oriented

7. Be able to work under pressure and under strict deadlines

8. Great customer service

9. Highly motivated
