Reporting to the Foreman, field service technician should have 1- 3 years of coal mining experience We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package.
Duties and Tasks:
· Schedule efficient inspections, combining locations where possible
· Demonstrates good judgement and decision making
· Pick up or facilitate delivery of parts from vendors to our shop or to customers
· Unload trucks and equipment at shop
· Maintains maintenance records on all vehicles, notifies driver when maintenance is required
· Sends equipment to be repaired when necessary
· Keeps the shop/warehouse clean and organized
· Seeks guidance and direction as necessary for the performance of duties
· Keeps supervisor informed about the status of work being performed
· Informs the supervisor about problems and potential problems as early as possible
· Respects the confidentiality of Company, customer and personnel information
· Maintains cooperative working relationships with supervisors and other staff members
· Makes the best use of time
· Consistently shows the ability to recognize and deal with priorities
· Shows initiative
· Performs all duties in an independent manner with little supervision
· Recognizing and performing duties which need to be performed, although not directly assigned, and assisting others as needed
· Other duties and tasks as assigned
· Maintains a safe work environment
· Accurate inspections and complete reports
· Responds promptly to requests for parts and supplies
· Positive outlook and strong work ethic
Requirements:
· At least 1 year in a related industry
· Knowledge of industrial parts and maintenance, and understanding of our work
· Graduated with college or associates degree
· Pass a background check and drug screen
· Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude
· Ability to sit in a vehicle for long periods, climb stairs and ladders
· Proficient with Outlook, Trello and other software
· Clean driving record
Working Conditions:
· Desk work in climate-controlled environment
· Warehouse work in a non-climate-controlled environment
· Ability to lift 50 pounds
· Ability to drive to sites in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee and potentially other states. Overnight travel in some cases.
· Exposure to outside environment and dusty, dirty conditions at customer facilities
