RemX is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work with our client who is the GOLD STANDARD for filling and packing machinery solutions This position is located in Chicago, IL and is an on-site role.

$85k-$95k BOE with excellent benefits Lots of room for growth, a great per diem package and work-life balance

Duties:

·       Design mechanical parts and assemblies in SolidWorks.

·       2D quality control drawings for manufacturing.

·       Component specification and selection.

·       Enter assemblies and references into document control system (SmarTeam).

·       Interface with vendors and contractors on a regular basis for part sourcing.

·       Assembly of prototypes based on the designs created.

·       Gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting.

·       Resolve problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.

Requirements: 

·       Must be able to read and understand assembly drawings, standard operating procedures and Bills of Materials.

·       Proficiency with Draftsight, AutoCad, and SolidWorks.

·       Knowledge of SmarTeam and QAD a plus.

·       Must possess a basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

·       Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

·       Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

·       2 – 3 years of Mechanical Engineering Experience.

·       Engineering experience in the automation field.
