This listing is for fully licensed LCSWs or LPCs looking for a psychotherapist role in a private practice. Your responsibilities would be similar to most other positions you have had in the past: see the population you work well with (couples, teens, adults, children, etc), document, and bill. You would have control over your schedule and whether you would like to see clients remotely or in our furnished offices in the Ironbound in Newark, NJ. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychotherapist to join our team. As a Psychotherapist, you will provide behavioral health services and support to individuals, families, and couples in need. Your role will involve conducting diagnostic evaluations, providing psychotherapy, and implementing behavioral therapy techniques. Additionally, you will be responsible for data collection, crisis intervention, and (if you choose) start and facilitate a group. Responsibilities:

- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs

- Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to clients using evidence-based therapeutic approaches

- Implement behavioral therapy techniques to address specific behavioral issues

- Offer crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute mental health crises

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans

- Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and enhance therapeutic outcomes

- Conduct regular data collection and maintain accurate client records

- Provide case management services to ensure clients receive appropriate resources and support

- Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of psychotherapy

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices

- Experience in direct support and counseling individuals with gender issues

- Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies

- Excellent case management skills to coordinate care for clients

- Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans based on client needs

- Skilled in providing evidence-based psychotherapy interventions

- Proficient in data collection and maintaining accurate client records

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients and healthcare professionals

- Ability to facilitate group therapy sessions and create a supportive therapeutic environment

We offer competitive compensation packages based on experience.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $65.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
