Foreman

· 10+ years of residential construction

· Capable of all job site field functions

· Read & follow plans, understand engineering

· Identify problems & issues as they develop and suggest solutions & corrections as they happen.

· Oversee & correct work by employees

· Basic understanding of the subcontractors and monitoring their work

· Be a teacher and mentor

· Work teams, daily weekly tasks

· Layout and work with crews for framing and finish

· Open and close job sites

· Jobsite safety – walkthroughs and tool maintenance

· Material take offs & supply needs

· Speak up and provide guidance with works and subs about progress and methods

· Take ownership of work quality performed on site

· Communication skills

· Daily reports & timecards

· Help super & PM with 3-week lookahead and critical pathing

· Run coordination meetings

· Daily coordination with super & PM

· General computer skills – familiarity with Procore

· Professional rep for FORMA

Are you a master carpenter who’s seen it all and is ready to step up? A Foreman looking to work on more refined, architecture-driven projects? FORMA Construction, an award-winning firm, is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Foreman to help our clients realize their dreams.

 

The foreman is a boots-on-the-ground role, overseeing a job site from pre-construction to the final punch list. This is a role for an experienced carpenter who understands all phases of construction and can act as a mentor and guide for others on the job site, as well as oversee subcontractors and coordinate with the superintendent and Project Manager to keep the project on time and on budget.

 

Success in this role is measured by your ability to keep a project on schedule, manage subcontractors, resolve problems before they develop, and help our employees grow and improve as they deliver the best craftsmanship in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Open & Close job site daily.
• Assign work teams and their daily & weekly tasks.
• Document daily reports, safety walkthroughs, and timecards for the project.
• Oversee and take responsibility for the work done by your team.
• Layouts and work with crews for framing & finish.
• Material take-offs & supply needs.
• Monitor subcontractors on site.
• Coordinate with the superintendent & Project Manager to identify potential issues early and help develop a 3-week look ahead.
• Run coordination meetings, and act as a professional representative for FORMA Construction.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of residential construction experience, preferably on high-end projects.
• Punctuality and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow plans.
• A basic understanding of engineering requirements.
• Strong leadership & communication skills.
• Computer skills & experience with Procore and the Microsoft Suite.
• Capable of important jobsite field functions (Framing, finishing carpentry).
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Compensation

• This is a full time, non-exempt role with a compensation range of $45.00 - $60.00 per hour including potential bonus.
