Job Description

  • Drive to customer locations to install and program new access control systems and equipment
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair existing access control systems such as electric strikes, mag locks, card readers, sensors, door handles, and control boards
  • Understand and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Understand and interpret local code and regulations as they relate to access control and fire
  • Work with customers to understand their security needs / requirements and design solutions that meet those needs
  • Utilize Bluebeam Software to create and update access control designs

Minimum Requirements

  • 3-5 years field experience with access control systems
  • Experience with low voltage wiring and structured cabling, including experience with Cat5e/Cat6 terminations
  • Familiarity with basic electrical conduit tools and practices
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including willingness to perform work on ladders and aerial lifts when required
  • Demonstrate a professional manner both at the customer site and while in the BNTeam office
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and follow directions
  • Ability to travel overnight to customer sites

Preferred but Not Required

  • Experience with Audio/Video
  • Telecommunications experience
  • Experience in fiber optic cabling and fusion splicing
