Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for a reliable, customer service focused CDL Class A Driver to join our team.

$70,000 a year base salary and the ability to earn additional compensation with daily route commissions. This is a full-time, salaried position.

This position is Monday-Friday only, no weekends and no evenings. Start time is flexible depending on the route for the day. Average route times are 6-10 hours a day, depending on the route. All drivers are home every night, delivery area is Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. The driver would mainly be driving a 45-foot semi and sometimes be required to drive a 24-foot straight truck. The driver would be delivering materials such as plywood, laminate, and quartz.

 

Driver Duties and Responsibilities

· Make sure loads are secure throughout day

· Must be able to work with others and be courteous to all customers

· Help customers unload when necessary

· Drive in a safe and courteous manner

· Confirm each delivery matches with corresponding documentation

· Turn in delivery paperwork daily

· Pick up material for returns when necessary

Driver Skills and Qualifications

· Must have a Class A CDL

· Needs to be able to lift and carry 70 lbs for short distances.

· Must be able to pass a DOT physical, DOT drug screen, have a clean driving record, and all DOT mandated regulations for the hiring

and employment of a commercial driver

· Must have knowledge of the state DOT and federal DOT regulations in accordance with driver’s responsibility when driving.

· Has to be able to fill out paper logs when needed, we are exempt from EDL mandate.

· Must be able to read and comprehend English.
