Job Summary: The HVAC Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems. This role requires a strong understanding of QuickBooks and the ability to handle the unique financial needs of an HVAC business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting transactions using QuickBooks.
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
  • Support Accountant with filing of tax returns and other compliance documents.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Maintain an organized and accurate record-keeping system.
  • Handle vendor and client invoicing and payments.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the HVAC industry.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the HVAC or construction industry.
  • Familiarity with other accounting software and tools.
  • Certification in QuickBooks.
