Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Summary: The HVAC Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems. This role requires a strong understanding of QuickBooks and the ability to handle the unique financial needs of an HVAC business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions using QuickBooks.
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Support Accountant with filing of tax returns and other compliance documents.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Maintain an organized and accurate record-keeping system.
- Handle vendor and client invoicing and payments.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in the HVAC industry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the HVAC or construction industry.
- Familiarity with other accounting software and tools.
- Certification in QuickBooks.
