Position:

Maintenance Manager

 

Responsibilities:

Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintaining of mechanical equipment within the facility that aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on all industrial equipment in plant including:

· conveyors

· hydraulics

· pneumatics

· welding

· gearboxes/drives

· valves/pumps

· Works safely and follows all SOP’s on lock out of equipment.

· Maintains documentation of work order forms and completion of daily PM’s.

· Supports general plant safety, food safety, food defense initiatives, good manufacturing practices, SQF and internal audits and product quality always.

· Participates in root cause problem solving & troubleshooting issues.

· Performs preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance.

· Capable of overhauling most process systems and equipment to ensure optimal equipment up-time.

· Works cross-functionally with production and sanitation associates to provide effective maintenance support and to protect food safety and quality.

· Identifies potential cost savings and cost avoidance measures.

· Understands levels of line downtime caused by equipment issues.

· Other duties as assigned.

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

· Ability to supervise and train team members.

· Must be able to work varying days (including occasional weekends) and shifts in order to meet deadlines.

 

COMPETENCIES

· Good communication skills; be able to communicate to floor personnel and senior management.

· Bilingual preferred; or ability to work with diverse group of personnel.

· Proficient in computer programs but not limited to Word and Excel.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Sit/stand for an extended period.

· Be able to work extended hours, including some evenings and weekends.

· Able to travel occasionally.

· Able to lift 25-50 pounds.

· Able to function in a fast-paced, office environment.

 

Work with Others:

Work with, Production Manager, Sanitation and Shift Supervisors, Senior Management

 

Other:

Handle any other assigned tasks that may arise.
