We work a hybrid schedule; 3-4 days in office and 1-2 days remote.
70k/yr to start with a review in 90 days. Our current employees were promoted within.

Experience managing and leading Junior Publicists and/or a small fulfillment team is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 4+ years of post-college experience in public relations, with experience as the day-to-day account lead. Entertainment and hospitality/restaurant industry and experience a plus but overall a general publicist.

· Experience with a proven track record working with high profile managers, producers, talent & executives.

· Current media relationships with lifestyle, music, entertainment industry, general entertainment beat writers, editors, and freelancers, regionally and nationally, and proven ability to secure consistent, high quality media coverage.

· Excellent writing skills and grammatical knowledge; AP Style

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, good judgment and instincts with problem solving skills; collaborative nature.

· Creative thinker, who thrives on producing new ideas, or improving upon the tried-and-true.

· Proactive and organized; must have strong ability to balance multiple projects concurrently, prioritize, and take ownership of projects and relationships.

· Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

· Flexibility and willingness to occasionally work nights and weekends especially for client events and interviews.

· Knowledge of and experience using Muck Rack/Cision and Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Presentation, etc).

· Strong knowledge of the entertainment as well as knowledge of corresponding media outlets.


DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Serve as a day-to-day lead on client accounts, in partnership with PR Manager and Agency Leadership.

· Provide consistent and professional client experience/communication. Respond to client emails and/or calls in a timely manner; use judgment to ensure sensitive issues are responded to during off hours/weekends.

· Staff/attend clients’ media interviews/appearances. Show a positive, upbeat attitude towards clients while on client calls and during in-person meetings.

· Lead bi-weekly meetings or calls with clients, ensuring all items on the agenda are discussed. Proactively anticipate issues and assist agency leadership in solving problems and providing strategic insight and planning during the call.

· Work with agency leadership and team members to draft client strategy. Assist in the creation of additional strategic documents and reports, as warranted, as needed throughout the campaign.

· Manage execution of the developed strategy for accounts which you lead, ensuring that action items are being fulfilled by all team members, well in advance of meetings.

· Draft pitches, press releases and other deliverables, as required by clients, as desired by client, and stipulated in the client scope of work.

· Coordinate media events from start to finish drafting and executing thoughtful run of shows and managing the event on site with assistance from partners and teammates. Conduct and lead client and media follow-up and reporting in a timely manner.

· Keep abreast of each client’s industry, trends, competition, and related media coverage.

· Monitor, collect, track, evaluate and create reports on public relations tactics and competitive activity – bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly – as needed.

· Maintain successful relationships with key media members, locally, regionally, and nationally; leverage relationships to generate strong client results.

· Develop new media relationships on an ongoing basis.

· With assistance from agency leadership, consistently update media relations strategy in order to maintain steady flow of both short- and long-lead coverage throughout campaign(s).

· Draft press kit documents, pitches and other PR and marketing collateral, ensuring press kit reflects brand standards of each client.

· Ensure client receives all media coverage in a very timely manner, either from you or your team members and is delivered in a manner that communicates the agency’s relationships, efforts and/or understanding of the client's business.

· Develop and manage media lists via Google Sheets, editorial calendars and more, using Cision, Much Rack, or other relevant tools.

· General understanding of social media and influencer relations and identify ways to integrate both into traditional communication strategies.
