Overview


Our client is looking to add a contract Microbiology Technician to their group in East Setauket, NY (Long Island). This is a long-term contract role with a pay rate is $30 based on education and experience. 

 

Schedule:

- Monday - Thursday: 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Friday: 9 am to 5:30 pm
- 40-hour work week

 

Responsibilities:


- Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials and/or formulations for personal and home care applications.
- Perform microbial counts and media preparation/dilutions.
- Review and update micro-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Qualifications


- Bachelor Degree

- Preferred experience in oral care, skin care, or home care pathogens.
- Previous exposure to biological techniques.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer aptitude
