Aesthetics Educator

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Aesthetics Instructor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, customizing, and delivering lesson plans that meet the unique needs of our students. As an instructor, you will serve as a liaison between students and staff, encouraging communication and collaboration within the classroom. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records, facilitate classes through Google Meets and Google Classroom, and perform general clerical duties. This position requires a current Arizona Aesthetics Instructor license and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Essential Functions:
- Develop and customize lesson plans and instructional delivery to meet student needs.
- Encourage and facilitate communication among students, staff, and instructors.
- Act as a liaison between students and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades, incidents, and attendance.
- Facilitate classes both in-person and virtually through Google Meets and Google Classroom.
- Create and modify documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, mailing, and filing.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director.

 

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Current Arizona Aesthetics Instructor license.
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills; normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-3 years of experience in the aesthetics field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Ability to use advanced computer functions and generate reports.
- Knowledge of current trends in aesthetics.
- Service-oriented with a courteous and personable attitude.
- Experience with virtual meeting platforms like Zoom or Google Meets.

- Design and implement multiple projects with several variables, while meeting deadlines and ensuring program accountability.
- Resolve complex issues independently within the program area, using creativity to find solutions.

Discretion/Latitude/Decision-Making:
- Make strategic decisions based on analysis, experience, and judgment.
- Act independently within broad program goals and guidelines.

Responsibility/Oversight:
- Oversee all theoretical and practical applications for students.
- Ensure that individual instructor surveys have an overall rating of "good/excellent." Address areas of weakness with additional training and guidance.
- Maintain student licensing examination scores that meet or exceed the state average for practical and theoretical examinations.

Communications/Interpersonal Contacts:
- Communicate with a wide range of people to develop, negotiate, and implement programs and projects.
- Provide a variety of information to students and others to assist workflow throughout the organization.
- Consistently demonstrate a professional, positive, and approachable demeanor.
- Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality when handling information.

Working Conditions/Physical Effort:
- Work generally requires only minor physical exertion and/or strain.
