Job DescriptionJob Description

KSR Foam and Technical Products, LLC is looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. This is an entry-level position where, as part of a team, you will maintain and advance quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results. Excellent communication, leadership skills, and knowledge of CAD programs and blueprint reading are a must, as well as a keen attention to detail.

Job Description

Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; reject and return unacceptable materials.

  • Approve in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
  • Approve finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirm re-work.
  • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; input data into quality database.
  • Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; call for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read technical publications- including ISO 9001-2015 and AS9100D standards.
  • Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Advance our quality system under ISO 9001-2015 and AS9100D requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

Excellent Computer Skills (knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus), Analyzing Information, Reporting Research Results, Documentation Skills, Promoting Process Improvement, Safety Management, Managing Processes, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Supports Innovation, CAD, Quality Engineering, Operations Research

 

Hours: 20-30 hours per week - shop hours 7am-3:30pm
