We are currently seeking ​a Lead Diesel Technician

The ideal candidate is focused, demonstrates a high mechanical aptitude, great problem solving abilities, has interpersonal skills and keen prioritization abilities. The scope and relationship regarding this position will be reviewed periodically to ensure the relationship is in tact and beneficial.

You will have a high functioning role, which includes diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty vehicles. The Lead Diesel Technician safely and completely performs all repairs and sets the standard for all other technicians whether road or in-house techs.

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Technical certifications preferred
  • Possess basic tools to perform the job
  • Relevant, verifiable work experience

Responsibilities:

  • Upholds Preventative Maintenance programs
  • Accurately documents repair and maintenance
  • Performs regular and ongoing operational analysis to maximize utilization of company resources and correct deficiencies
  • Ensures DOT compliance for all equipment
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with associated personnel
  • Meets with shop manager to establish productivity plans weekly
  • Adheres to all applicable federal, state and company policies
  • Participates in training and learning opportunities to grow professionally
