Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Speech-Language Pathologist or a Clinical Fellow to join our team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a new graduate to develop their clinical skills and knowledge in a supportive, team-oriented setting. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of our experienced SLP and will have access to a variety of resources and learning opportunities to facilitate their professional growth. This is a highly competitive position for which we are seeking only 2-3 graduates.
Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of clients across all ages, with a variety of communication disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Collaborate with family members and other professionals (e.g., occupational therapists, educators) to ensure holistic care.
- Participate in regular supervision sessions with our director of SpeechGuru, a licensed SLP to discuss case management, receive feedback, and enhance clinical skills.
- Engage in professional development activities, including workshops, seminars, and in-service training, to stay current with research and best practices in the field.
- Document therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports accurately and timely.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive team environment by sharing knowledge and participating in team meetings and case conferences.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution.
- Eligible for Clinical Fellowship as outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team setting.
- Passion for learning and professional growth.
