Mechanical Engineer

Works within a team of engineers and designers to develop and manufacture quality industrial dust collectors and systems by using computer aided design (CAD) and engineering techniques for products. Ensures the drawings and designs are completed on time and adhere to the established specifications and standards. May prepare project schedules, bids, or proposals.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Engineer Tech’s, Mechanical Detailers, Designers, Build of Materials (BOM) specialist to design dust collector systems and contribute to responses from production and quality control enquires.
- Produce and coordinate unit production documentation for quality assurance, testing, or maintenance of products.
- Discuss and lay out project specifications.
- Make detailed plans to accomplish goals.
- Develop, review and seek approval of product designs from senior staff and modify plans as need of product designs.
- Develop cost estimates.
- Assists sales department and distributors in the development of quotes for clients.
- Improve manufacturing processes and advance product development/improvement through scientific and market research.
- Collaborate on the overall concepts for new products.
- Participates with and is on the engineering team.
- Contribute and create strategies for design creation and implementation of products through cross team collaboration and stakeholder analysis.
- Assists other product designers to develop complete orders.
- Create, proof, and evaluate designs for impact, policy adherence, and ROI.
- Establish and align project timelines in accordance with up and downstream dependency.
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in related engineering field.
- One to two years of engineering/designer experience.
- Extensive knowledge of CAD programs with specific experience with SolidWorks and or AutoCAD.
- Project Management, Problem Solving/Analysis, Proficiency in Communication.
