Job Summary: The Envelope Adjustor is responsible for setting up the envelope machine that they are assigned to, produce orders planned on the machine, perform maintenance to support operation of the machines, and check and confirm the quality of the product being produced. Adjustors will work, as a Team, with Envelope Operators Q&C, and Envelope Machine Operators to ensure that machines are running efficiently and production goals are being met. Responsible for the quality produced. Experience operating envelope machines is requirement 

Responsibilities:

• Set-up the envelope machines for production runs including size changes for envelopes, windows and printing.

• Perform machine start-up and shut down and ensure that proper adjustment of the machines are being applied

• Monitor the machines on a continuous basis to ensure consistent operation and quality of product

• Ensure that proper materials and components are selected and used for each job. Return unused materials and components to inventory after use.

• Clear complex jams and assist the Envelope Operators Q&C, to support consistent operation of the machine

• Check the quality of the first envelopes on each machine and approve 1 sample by signature that will be located at the packing table as the quality reference for that day beginning of shift. Check during production the quality every 15,000 produced.

• Schedule and perform maintenance to the envelope machines

• Communicate with other shifts regarding concerns about equipment, maintenance, and other relevant information

• Provide and file reports to supervisors and management at the end of each shift for each machine

• Report any unplanned downtime longer than 1 hour to the Supervisor

• Maintain a clean, organized and safe workplace • Train the Envelope Operators on the machines

• Make suggestions to the team to improve organization, quality, quantity or waste reduction • Periodically act as a machine operator, e.g., to provide breaks and lunches for operators, or absence.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working as a machine adjuster

• Ability to perform basic math including use of fractions and measurements

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to pass drug screen, E-Verify, and background check

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand and walk for long periods of time. The employee is frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
