Lake Nona Animal Clinic, a privately-owned small-animal hospital, is looking for experienced veterinary technicians. Licensure is a plus and affects pay, but it is not required.

We are therefore, looking for full time technicians who have past experience, are motivated, go-getters, possess great medical knowledge, and have a great friendly disposition.

Tech Skills Required:
-venipuncture
-patient restrain
-drug dosage calculations/medical math
-SC, IM, IV, and PO medication administration
-radiograph positioning
-anatomy and physiology knowledge
-veterinary medicine knowledge (to include but not limited to knowledge of common procedures; medications, their indications, and potential side effects; specialized lab tests, samples preparation and protocol, and interpretation)

Duties and responsibilities will include loading rooms and getting detailed and accurate history, auditing previous and current medical records, assisting the doctor during examinations, discussing treatment plans, assisting with diagnostics and treatments, caring for hospitalized patients who may or may not be in critical condition, updating clients on their pet's condition, triaging and assisting with emergencies, assisting the current surgical tech, entering all information into our electronic medical records system (ezyvet), and more. Eventually (after about a year) duties and responsibilities will also include pre-op prep, anesthesia monitoring, anesthesia recovery, performing dental cleanings, and more.
