### Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

#### Job Responsibilities:
- **Maintenance and Repair**: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems, including fuel systems, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
- **Diagnostics**: Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues in diesel engines and troubleshoot problems effectively.
- **Inspections**: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and machinery to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- **Parts Replacement**: Replace worn or damaged parts, including filters, belts, and hoses, ensuring all components are functioning properly.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on vehicles and equipment.
- **Customer Service**: Communicate effectively with customers, providing updates on repairs and maintenance needs.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines while working on equipment and in the shop environment.
- **Collaboration**: Work as part of a team with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient operations.

#### Qualifications:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a diesel mechanic program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair is highly desirable.
- **Certifications**: ASE certification or equivalent in diesel mechanics is a plus.
