As a Hospitalist Physician with Elite Medical Group of Southern California, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients. As a key member of the healthcare team, you will provide timely assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions, collaborating closely with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to hospitalized adults, including admission, daily rounds, and discharge planning.
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, order diagnostic tests, and formulate evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Manage acute medical issues, stabilize critically ill patients, and initiate appropriate interventions, including resuscitation and life support measures, when necessary.
  • Coordinate with specialists, consultants, and allied health professionals to optimize care delivery and facilitate timely referrals for specialized treatment or procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education, counseling, and support to promote understanding and compliance with treatment plans.
  • Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and clinical decision support tools to document patient encounters, track clinical progress, and ensure accurate billing and coding practices.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge, skills, and practice standards.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Ideally, at least one year of post-graduate experience in internal medicine or a related specialty; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply
  • Current state medical license and DEA registration
  • Strong clinical skills with proficiency in acute care management and evidence-based medicine
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement
