Description:

Sand X is currently seeking a full-time CAD Designer/Drafter/Engineering Technician for the location in Granbury, Texas. This position will be responsible for designing products using design software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design products, create files and drawings to support the fabrication and engineering team.

Candidates should demonstrate the following:

• A strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software with emphasis on AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Experience in welding/fabrication shop practices
• Honesty and integrity
• Ability to be self-motivated and take initiative to complete deadlines in a timely manner.

Other job duties:

• Provide updated drawings of current projects as needed.
• Assistance in CNC plasma operation
• Other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-year work experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Experience with CNC plasma machines preferred.
• Ability to read tape measure to 1/16” preferred.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
• Works well in a team and independently.

Working conditions & Physical Requirements:

• Schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM
• Majority of time will be in an office environment. Activity and work assignment on the shop floor and in R&D work is also expected.
