Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are looking for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with two to five years experience to join our staff. Position is mainly tax preparation and planning but includes compilations and auditing. Previous work experience with a CPA firm, along with a degree in Accounting and a CPA qualification or candidate is required for this role. Ultimately, you will play a vital role in our company’s operations. We are a small firm working overtime in tax season but providing a work family life balance the rest of the year. Health insurance assistance provided. In-house position only.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of corporate, individual, partnership, 990, and trust tax returns.
- Audit assistance or lead auditor on nonprofit audits.
- Review of staff work.
- Preparation of compilations.
- Regular client contact.
- Whatever is needed for the benefit of the firm.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Certified Public Accountant or candidate.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting and financial procedures.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with accounting softwares Drake Tax, Quickbooks and Sage a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
- Must be team oriented.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Self starter.
