Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking qualified individuals to join are Swing Shift Panel Builder Department. As a Control Panel Technician, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring control panels used in industrial automation systems. Must be mechanically inclined and be able to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings to ensure accurate assembly of control panels. According to the specifications, you will be installing and connecting electrical components, such as relays, switches, and circuit breakers. Must know how to fabricate and modify control panel enclosures using hand tools, power tools, and equipment. Any shop, manufacturing, wiring, and assembly would be a good fit. Any HAVC background would be a BIG plus. On-the-job training will be provided.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Pay Rate: $20.00 to $25.00 DOE

Swing Shift: 4:00pm to 2:00 am. Monday - Thursday or Tuesday through Friday depending on availability. Currently offering $3.50 per hour for shift differential.

Responsibilities:

• Read, understand and utilize various engineering and manufacturing documents including bills of material, assembly drawings, assembly instructions, wiring schematics and diagrams

• Physically assemble and wiring of system control panels

• Cut, strip, crimp, and wire 26 AWG – 12 AWG

• Lay out physical mounting devises to back panels

• Apply hand and power tools to ensure correct torque

• Perform re-work of wiring and assembly at the request and guidance of the QC technician

• QC testing the panel to ensure that its built according to plan

 

Qualifications:

• Strong electrical knowledge and experience working with electrical components

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings. (Bonus)

• Mechanical knowledge to assemble components accurately

• Experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly and modification tasks
