Strange Matter is looking a night shift baker Full-time hours available.
Dough, proof, cut, fry, glaze, bake, roll, zest

Night Shift: 9pm-5am is the approximate shift time Weekend availability is a must.

Compensation: Hourly (Based on Experience) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $60
Benefits & Perks: Paid Time Off, Dining Discounts, Health Reimbursement Benefits up to $200/mo towards insurance premium. 40hrs annually sick pay. 40hrs annually PTO. Robust bereavement leave policy.

Our Bakers:

• Bake all pastries fresh each day.
• Ensure all doughnuts and baked goods are prepared according to SMC standards.
• Primarily work with minimal supervision.
• Perform other activities as needed such as stocking, prep and sanitation.

What We’re Looking for:

• 1-2 years of experience baking (Experienced bakers with at least 1yr relevant experience start at $17hr)
• Ability to work late night shifts
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Work with vegan ingredients, whole and real foods.
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Self-starter, ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Enthusiasm, energy and positive attitude with a desire to learn and develop
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Minimum age – 18 years

the fine print: Experience is preferred in a commercial kitchen and/or the service industry. (chain experience is totally okay) We do not hire temporary seasonal staff due to the extensive and continuous training involved in craft coffee and baking.

Pay: $15.00 per hour for no experience.
$17.00 per hour with one year relevant experience.

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• Overnight shift
• Weekends as needed
